...something good happens.
I've been so worried about money lately. I still can't seem to find a job, and we keep having to borrow money from Brian's parents so that we can do crazy things like buy groceries or replace the battery in Brian's car. Also, my own car is still fucked up, so it's hard to look for a job, anyway

As for applying, I'd suggest doing some sort of internship. But, of course, what do you want to do with a BA in History? My mom worked at an art museum with her BA in history while working on her Master's. I'm sure you don't want to hear it, but checking into getting an MA isn't a bad idea. And maybe you can even live off loans if you're going to school, too. If you want to go, that is. I know I'm taking a break from school for at least a year, but if I don't find a good job soon, I'll be looking into getting my master's for sure.

I'm actually going to look into some sort of internship/volunteering soon. My husband just found out that he got a raise (YAY!!), so me finding a paying job isn't quite as heavy on me now. I'm willing to say, volunteer at the local library, because it will look good on any resume I fill out and it's a little closer to using my degree than say...waitressing. I actually have experience working on exhibits because I worked on one for the school two years ago.
As for what I want to do, I either want to work in a museum or teach at the college level. All require me getting more schooling, though. That much I know. Right now it's a matter of getting experience in either, which might be where the volunteering comes in.

I know I got 5k in grants from the state of Texas, and I filled out my FAFSA near when it was due. If I went earlier I would have gotten the Pell grant as well, filing independently.
15k ain't chicken feed.
