Ugh. I had to spend WAY too much money on my cable bill today. Why on EARTH do they charge one-hundred and forty-seven dollars for premium cable and internet a month? So, I got an 'A' in my class for the quarter, which would be more impressive if I had more than one class, but I still really needed it to bring my GPA back up to 3.0 land where it needs to be as a grad student, and it's now there. FINALLY got paid today after being broke for oh so long. So relieved. Bills are paid, my one credit card (a Care Credit card) has been paid down to half the available credit, and I still got plenty of money left over. Gonna pay three months rent at the first of the next month so I don't have to think about that for a while.

Today I learned that you can do consultation for movies and shows and such on historical accuracy, if they are trying to do a historical type of thing. A 'historical consultant' is what it's called ( Read more... )

Well, Brian got a loan for school, and he'll be getting an extra $3500 back, so we're doing pretty damn good now. He also got to apply for a $37,000 a year grant for some sort of 'green' thing. His work is 'green' because he is trying to find a way to use waist to go into concrete, so that's cool. We don't know if he'll get it, or how much of it ( Read more... )

I've been so worried about money lately. I still can't seem to find a job, and we keep having to borrow money from Brian's parents so that we can do crazy things like buy groceries or replace the battery in Brian's car. As a few people might know, and may not know, I had a job at a Italian Restaurant until recently. I got let go because they couldn't get in touch with me on my day off and assumed that I had quit.
