Today I learned that you can do consultation for movies and shows and such on historical accuracy, if they are trying to do a historical type of thing. A 'historical consultant' is what it's called.
So, that's something I can do with my degree.
Now I just need to figure out how the hell I can get into this business.
I've been trying to suss out types of jobs for a while. I'd love to blog for a living. I have an idea for a blog about gaming from a female perspective. I have no idea if I could make money off of this, though. I'm sort of thinking of doing it anyway and just see how it goes and see if I can get advertising on it. Once again, have no real idea on how to do this.
Would any of you guys read a blog about roleplaying from a female perspective? This would both be online games and table top and pen and paper games. I'm actually running a Hunter: the Reckoning game tonight, so I'm still in the biz of table top roleplaying here.
I'm also a Passion Parties consultant now. Passion Parties are those parties that girls throw to buy sex aids, to be blunt. Both my mother and mother-in-law want to know how I'm going to talk about sex to others, and have actually asked me this. (I'm sure that everyone that I know wants to know how I'm going to do this.) Basically, I'm working on being more open with people. I've been practicing a little on friends. I really do like the company so far, though. It's very friendly and helpful, and my sponsor has been fantastic. My first official party is Feb. 27, but I'm going home this weekend to do an unofficial showing.
