Silence. Amu just folded her arms across her (thankfully flat) chest.

"Stealing somebody's money?"

Silence.

"Laughing at someone's pain because of how stupid they look?"

"Even punching that guy who calls you Washboard--"

Amu visibly twitched, and Laharl smirked, knowing he had struck a nerve. That was it. She just needed the proper nudge (or shove) in the right (or wrong) direction, and she'd be evil in no time at all.

"I believe that LOVE and PEACE and FRIENDSHIP can conquer everything!"

... Wait, what? Surely she hadn't said that in such a cheerful voice, and-- were those sparkles surrounding her?? For someone who usually took such a ginger approach to things like that, she sure was enthusiastic now

When Yukika had approached her, May had listened patiently to the older girl... but the more she talked, the more the confusion increased in her eyes until she couldn't take it anymore.

"Wait a minute, Yukika... what's a Host Club, anyway? And what's Gil got to do with it?"

"I'm not really sure myself, but..." Yukika fidgeted, casting her eyes to the ground. "I believe it's something like a place where girls can go and be... ah, pleased? Entertained? ... By men."

"In other words..." May frowned. "It's a place where girls go to be flirted with? And Gil's working there...?" She glanced over at Yukika, who gave her a puzzled blink, and her eyes darkened. She didn't quite get it, but if it was for some club for women to have their precious feelings played with by guys who got paid for it and didn't really, truly care...
