This is my home-game entry for The Real LJ Idol. I am not competing this season but invite you to read the many fine submissions and the home-game entries. Topic number 16 is "Breaking the Fast." This week it was penned by a special guest, my cat, Luke.

The record-breaking snow that socked the Philadelphia area this week slightly altered our Valentine's Day plans, but it couldn't keep my husband, The Gryphon, and I from celebrating. We probably ended up spending a lot less than we might have otherwise, however. Which, in truth, is not entirely bad.

Little did I know when I left for my water aerobics class at 20 of 9 that my morning errands would turn into a 4-hour ordeal adventure.

My husband, The Gryphon, and I had a semi-lazy, semi-busy weekend and watched three movies with a common theme: saving the world.

It would be our last free weekend for several weeks.

This weekend was one of my favorite types: where I get to cross things off my list of things to do, and also have some fun.

For Thanksgiving, my husband, The Gryphon, and I traveled to Central Pennsylvania to spend time with my parents. We stayed at my dad's place, arriving Wednesday evening.

After my disappointing experience with the failed Catherine Asaro interview at Philcon on Sunday, I just wanted to do something that was low-stress and fun.

After the Weird Science panel at Philcon on Sunday, I met The Gryphon for lunch, which was my only opportunity before my two back-to-back panels in the afternoon.
