After the singularity panel at Philcon on Saturday, The Gryphon and I joined The Cheshire Cat for lunch in the hotel restaurant. I had a tuna salad wrap with a side salad instead of French fries. We told The Cheshire Cat he'd held his own on the panel, and it had been a great discussion.

This weekend, my husband, The Gryphon, and I attended a regular Otakon meeting on Saturday and an Otakon planning session Sunday. They were both held at a hotel in Philadelphia, which made it extremely convenient for us.

When my friend Attila the Pun e-mailed me after I made my pregnancy announcement, I realized I hadn't seen him and his wife since The Gryphon and I got married, two years ago.

On Saturday, The Gryphon and I attended two Halloween parties. I went as Astrid Moon, a "spiritual advisor," a costume created from items I already had in my clost, featuring a floor-length blue caftan I bought in my hippie days.

Target gets a silver star when it comes to maternity clothes. To get a gold star, they'd simply to have more of the types of items they're currently selling. And maybe some casual wear and sleepwear.

As I gazed at the little plastic wand, a vertical line — indicating a "plus" for positive — formed long before the horizontal line did.
