A long, long time ago, before the earth had cooled (or something) I used to write personal posts on my LJ. Now is as good a time as any to start up again, since I had a very nice birthday weekend.

One of my photos is being used on the Schmap online guide to Baltimore: Edo Sushi. They asked my permission in 2008 when they found it on Flickr. Recently, they completely revamped the site and e-mailed me to let me know. It's nice to see my photo used in a professional context, with credit given.

My 13-month-old is enjoying exploring solid food, especially anything he can pick up. Any suggestions for cook books with recipes for the whole family?

Watching my little Kung Fu Panda standing up with the help of the coffee table, smacking his hand against the wooden surface, while he babbles happily and practices blowing raspberries, I'm convinced I'm doing something right. You wouldn't know this from listening to some people.
