I know every child's personality is different but I can't stand how my daughter gets upset over every little tiny bump, scratch, freckle, bug in the bath tub, etc... I know I can't force her to be something she isn't but do any of you have any ideas how to lovingly help my daughter toughen up a little? I mean she had a bug bite that because of all

Beet is about to turn 6 months old, and we're going to do a whole big ceremony to mark his first solid food. He wears Bumgenius 4.0 pockets. The diapers get washed about every 2 days. Until now, I just wash the poopy diapers in the washer without rinsing them off first because, hey, breastfed baby! The poop just dissolves! But now that he's going

So my daughter will be 3 in October. I've been trying to get her to go on the potty but so far no real success, she knows where the potty is and what pee/poo is but refuses to sit on the actual toilet. She even likes to flush the toilet for us but won't actually use it, when she was around 1yr old she liked to sit on the toilet, never peed/pooped

I know we all hate these posts, but the doctor is closed for the day.
My son came home from daycare with little red spots today. They don't look like heat rash that I can tell (that is what they are calling it), they almost look like little zits that haven't come to a head, he has 4 bumps on his chin, 1 on each leg, and a few on his butt. He is

I may soon be beginning a babysitting job for one of my old high school friends. She has two children (four years old and nine months old). I will be bringing my two year old along with me. Tomorrow I go to meet her kids since I have yet to meet them and we want them to know me before I start on Friday. It will be in her house since I live about

My just turned 3 year old (when did that happen???) is very, enthusiastic, about playing with mom. Up til now, things seemed to be rather well tucked inside, but at 28 weeks it turned into a beach ball belly. I'm up to 5 kick/head butts/knees/sitting too hard on events today, starting with an over enthusiastic hug when he informed me the sun was

Thank you so much for all your comments on my last entry re: cloth diapering. You guys are so helpful! I have just made a post to clothdiapering with some very specific questions, but since there seem to be so many experts here, I decided to post it here as well. I'm sorry if you are getting this twice!
So we are slowly starting on the cloth diapering journey

I'm posting for a friend who hasn't been approved for membership yet. Her and her husband are (essentially) fostering their 5 month old nephew and have been since birth. Since then, he has had issues with his formula. He started out on newborn Enfamil but he had horrible gas so at less than a month he was changed to Enfamil ProSobee. He has been on

I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with getting pregnant after stopping Depo Provera. I know the statistics say it can take any where from 3 months to 2 years, but I have to believe it can happen sooner since if you miss your two week window by even a day they make you take a pregnancy test before giving you the shot

My son was diagnosed with a speech delay and sensory seeking behavior. He has lately placed out of speech and PT ( He is still in ST and PT at the moment but come the summer he will no longer need it ). My son has some anger issues. Anytime we ask him to do something ( ie clean his room, dinner time, pick something up, time for bed etc ) he will
