My chemotherapy treatment is at an end.
The side effects are horrrible. While it gives me improved longevity, it's not giving me good quality of life. All kinds of small things are horrible on it, and added together? Yuck.

Belief
I am not a believer, never have been. I can't see how anyone could match up what happens in the world (2 year old Thai orphans with AIDS? 6 year olds with leukaemia? And all the rest of the crap that goes on) with a merciful God. Or even a vengeful one. How does that Thai orphan come to have any responsibility whatsoever that "deserves" ( Read more... ) -

The median IS the message
I am getting seriously annoyed by a particular aspect of having breast cancer metastases.
I belong to several online support groups.
This is about survival statistics. Firstly, the people who are still on the group and talking are, by definition, alive. Seems obvious yes?

The point I was making in my last post is that many of my reactions are really difficult for other people. Do one thing and I hate it, do the opposite and I hate that too! Or, do a particular thing, and one day i like it and the next I don't. One friend asked me how to 'get it right', inviting me to say what would work best for me.

I never quite know how to react. I like that I look okay. But in fact, I do look different from Before. I have swollen cheeks from the steroids I'm on.
