[ No surprise that the green-clad guild leader was checking out his favorite town, Dol Dona, ahead of the crowd. A large smile is stuck on his face as he investigates everything, emanating excitement. He really liked the Dol Dona @Home, so he's hoping soon Canard will be able to upgrade.
Another player is wandering through Dol Dona, enjoying the change in weather and the sheer lack of red in his vision. Sure, the sunset was nice but perpetual twilight? That was just taking things a bit too far in Fayt's opinion. At least they were opening a new server(?) to make up for it.
More importantly, how was he suppose to explain something like this to Nel?
"I'll just deal with it as it comes... I guess." In the meantime, maybe he should check out what weapons or items were up for sale...
[ooc: action/prose tags are totally cool with me. 8); and Fayt will probably end up choosing to go after the items list because HE CARES ABOUT OUTFITTING HIS PARTY WITH NAISU WEPONS ;^;]

[ And guess who's already standing there forking over a ton of spare items for sale. YOU GUESSED IT. It's DIOOOOOOONNNNNNNN!!-- no wait, it's just that douchebag captain Pigtails the Wicked. But he notices Fayt and tosses a broadsword at him as it materializes in his hand. He's getting the hang of the Relic, anyway. ]
[so like... There's a giant broadsword coming at him. The first thing Fayt does?
Dodge it like a bamf.
Then he'll yell at Albel for being so careless as the Edge Punisher retrieves the weapon]
Albel?! What in The World is wrong with you? You don't just throw these things in the middle of town!! [and here, he gestures to some of the terrified NPCs quivering off to one side. Albel the Wicked indeed. Times like these, Fayt found himself missing Cliff and Maria and Sophia... /sigh]
[oh good, a place that neither had monsters nor was stuck with a perpetually orange palette. Richter had no doubt in his mind that he would be dealing with those two items for a long time to come... Truthfully though, he just didn't want to hang around a place that might cause him to run into any number of blonds running around The World these days]
... Hmph.
[the half-elf catches sight of the GM with his checklists but chooses to ignore him for the time being. This place reminded him of Asgard; it wouldn't hurt to take a look around before accepting the quest]
[NO BLONDS HERE RICHTER, SORRY. Just a nerdy little girl who seems to be in awe at the place. It reminds her of home in a way. What with all the animals running around.
Speaking of running, guess who just ran into Richter on accident? Hint: not a blond boy.]
[so it's a good thing PK-ing isn't possible in the Root Towns; Richter automatically tries to reach for his weapon and is only stopped by the fact that Jade had run directly into him. It was either catch her or have both of them fall and, (un)fortunately, Richter's pride would not allow him to choose the latter]
[so one suave catch later left the red haired Blade Brandier staring down at the young girl]
...
[talk fast, he looks like he's about to let you go regardless of whether you've recovered or not]
[ She quickly balances herself, fixing her askew glasses in the process. It really is (un)fortunate that they're in a root town. A tiny newbie steam gunner like her would stand no chance against Richter. ]
Oh no! I'm sorry. I wasn't really paying attention and suddenly you were just there!
New places popping up out of nowhere reminded Saga -- in an odd sort of way -- of his own previous knack for warping dimensions. But since it seemed to be the natural way of things in this odd place ... game ... whatever, why not investigate?
Time to approach the Quest Kiosk ~!
"This is ... mm, still rather new to me. May I ask for the basic rundown of how these quests work?"
"I know I can access the information readily enough, but I want to inquire."
Kain put his feet down to lean forward and glanced up, waving a hand dismissively. He was nothing if not tired, and tired GMs tended to be irritable.
"What's difficult to understand? We give you a mission and area words, you go complete it and warp there the same way you got here, by that big glowing ring. It isn't rocket science. If you're new, it'd be best if you found a few others in your level range to help you out. We don't do corpse cleanup."
Amused Saga is amused ~ some things, it seems, never change, whether back in Sanctuary or in a place like this. It's almost a comfort; or it would be, if it weren't even more entertaining.
Kain might be a little sideswiped by the quiet chuckle that answers his snappish explanation.
"Death doesn't bother me terribly much at this point."
"That's a straightforward enough explanation, thank you; if you would be so kind as to supply said mission and keywords?"
He didn't mind the laughing; in fact, he smirked in reply. Not such a weakling, this one. About time.
"The mission is to help stock the town's market. Since you're a new Player, you'll get the fruit list here," and he handed him one of the handwritten checklists, "and go to Θ Sacred Sunshine's Weed Eater. You'll find the fruits you need by breaking pots and boxes in the field, and as drops from monsters you kill. Then you just come back here, show me the list which automatically checks itself on the items you get, and I fork over the prize."
And while he wouldn't give specific encouragement, he hoped the new player would opt for filling most of his list by breaking the pots first. The area level was five and the monsters would probably be too much, if he were as new as he seemed.

Checking out the new server, too? This place is just full of surprises!

Hey! Oh yes, all of the events have been a lot of fun so far. Dol Dona was my favorite of all four cities, really... I'm glad it's back.

If you can't use it, then give it back so I can sell it. They pay better for items here than in the other town.
[ Totally ignoring anything you say too. How long can they continue to bounce unrelated conversational pieces at each other, I wonder~? ]
