Yesterday was such a blast, I thought today would be a let down. It wasn't, but it was back to reality. My short contract came through, so I am employed now full time again until 21 Nov 06. Today was the last working day of my contract. Someone decided that we should go out for lunch, but little did I know that everything had been planned out. My co-workers bought my lunch, gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers, a card signed by everyone and a gift certificate for STAMPIN UP stuff. We have been having problems of one sort or another with our computers at work for the last few weeks. First, 2 out of 3 printers in our building quit. Today was my first follow-up after finishing treatment. I'm up a couple of pounds (no surprise there) but the nurse and doctor were pleased with my health and attitude. I belong to a reserve unit and Wednesday is a training night for our members. I am at work and it's 9:30pm. I am here to provide administrative support for those who require it. Today I saw the surgeon that performed the lumpectomy. I couldn't find the lump under my arm and neither could he. You can't remove what you can't find. As for the seroma; if it was drained it would likely come back. There is a risk of infection from needle used to drain it and seeing it doesn't bother me, he wants to leave it alone. It's the last day of July and I feel as confused as I did at the beginning of the month. Work is insane. They are short staffed and it is only going to get worse. I can feel the pressure building.
