Today I saw the surgeon that performed the lumpectomy. I couldn't find the lump under my arm and neither could he. You can't remove what you can't find. As for the seroma; if it was drained it would likely come back. There is a risk of infection from needle used to drain it and seeing it doesn't bother me, he wants to leave it alone. He did tell me that if the lump came back to call his office direct. I feel a bit like a fool but afterward I decided that I really need to let go of my fears of recurrence and start living.
Work was insane. It's days like today when I wonder why I went back to work. I hate it when it's crazy busy and I don't like it when I don't feel on top of things. Too many more days like this and my last day in the military will be the last day of this contract. (middle of October)
It's hot again. Summer is still going strong. Thankfully it's supposed to be a bit cooler tomorrow. I must go to bed, 0500 gets here all too soon.
