Today is the last official day of summer. For the most part we have been enjoying beautiful weather although one day this week it was decidedly cool so I ended up wearing a hoodie when I walked Maggie. It's hard to believe that a week ago we were in the midst of very wintery weather with a big dump of heavy wet snow and temperatures just below freezing. Today, we set a new record high for May 6th of 31 C or 87.8 F. Last Monday I didn't walk Maggie because of poor visibility and slippery road conditions. Hubby is safely back in Fort McMurray. This afternoon our oldest daughter came over to do some mending. The high today was 14 C or 57 F. It's supposed to drop down to 9 C or 48 F tonight. Brrr. I'll have to put an extra blanket on the bed tonight. I hope the couple of hot days we had last week didn't spell the end of summer.

Way back in April, I changed the look of our bedroom from the darker, more formal colours to lighter, fresher, spring look.
