more wild weather
We had more wild weather again this evening. Lightening, thunder and a torrential downpour. It was bound to happen. We had a couple of days real summer light weather. Hot, humid, the perfect kind of weather to end up with a thunderstorm. It has stopped raining for the moment, but more rain is in the forecast for overnight and tomorrow. I'll have to check the bathroom window for water leaks. The rain was driving at the house from the west.
Today I didn't do much after church and Hubby heading back up north. Friday I spent the majority of the day in the kitchen, prepping food for our youngest daughter bridal shower and Saturday was the shower.
I finished the flower girl's dress in time to take it to the shower to check the length. It is just a little big, but I didn't want to go one size down. (what if there was a growth spurt?) Everyone concerned thought the dress was lovely and even the flower girl liked it. (she's 3 1/2 and as most people know, 3 year old's can be unpredictable.) Hopefully she will still feel that way the day of the wedding. I'll probably hem it tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be cooler, so I won't mind having a dress laying in my lap.
I should head off to bed. It's getting late.
