We touched down in San Antonio around 9 P.M. last night to slightly overcast skies and mild warmth, a balmy 91. Ok, so my house is a mess again!! Grrr family I live with! Is it too much to ask to pick up dirty socks and place them in the laundry? Today was a good day. The kids and I accomplished much cleaning and straightening of the house. For whatever reason, Zoe got a fire lit under her and took it upon herself to rearrange her room. Yesterday's Anniversary was lovely. We ended up eating scallops, asparagus and a nice cut of beef split between us. We reminisced about the wedding and home and family. It was good. That being said, I took my daughter out today to look for a new bathing suit. The two she has from last year are faded, stretched out and droopy. Unfortunately for her, she has a mother that is a Nazi when it comes to modesty and showing her cha-cha's. Suits today are short, low cut usually two piece and modeled after Juniors. My kid is 10. Thursday is our 2nd Anniversary and I'm scrambling around trying desperately to think of something romantic and wonderful (and cheap) to gift my lovely husband with. One more month to go and we'll be flying in to Pittsburgh for two blessed weeks. I can't wait! It seems like it's been so long since I've stepped on familiar ground, yet the time has just flown past.
