2 year Wedding Anniversary

Thursday is our 2nd Anniversary and I'm scrambling around trying desperately to think of something romantic and wonderful (and cheap) to gift my lovely husband with. I just need something on the small side, not a huge deal but meaningful. It's got to say I love you and I'm glad we're married and here's lookin' at the next 50 baby. Not too much to ask right?

The dinner that night will consist of Seabass.....I'm not sure what else. Ever since season 3 of Top Chef, we have wanted to try this particular fish....but it is sooooo expensive. Only a really special occasion could make me plunk down $23 per pound. At that price I'm considering getting one fillet and splitting it between us. Dessert is up to me. I have to find something that expresses my love and joy for our union and family and life....it is a daunting task.

Not much else is happening at the moment. The kids are out of school and already at each other. "MOM...Nathan won't leave me alone!" "Mom....Zoe pinched me!" Oh kids!

I just finished reading Little House in the Big Woods out loud to them and they both really enjoyed it. Even my 8 year old son! Now I need to find something else to read out loud. I'm tempted to try Harry Potter. My daughter has read them all and would love to hear them but my son is dead set against it. He's listened to Joe bad mouth them too much to give them a fair shake. I've thought about The Chronicles of Narnia and Bunnicula is always fun. Eragon, The Call of the WIld, and The Lightening Thief, but I'm not getting hit by inspiration yet. I'm still looking.
