Ok, so my house is a mess again!! Grrr family I live with! Is it too much to ask to pick up dirty socks and place them in the laundry? Is this above and beyond expectations I should have of normal, healthy people? Or should I look at it as a blessing? I get the privilege of touching dirty, stinky socks and underwear.
One week to takeoff and I'm running around today to try to get some of the major tasks done, such as cut down on the amount of laundry I have and maybe do some dusting on top of the normal cleaning. We'll see how that goes. I guess my biggest frustration is the mess I continually clean up day after day, week after week is not my own. Why is it a Mom's job to pick up after the family? Why can't the FAMILY pick up after themselves (and when I say family I do include my husband in that). Why do kids automatically just drop things where they are and not pick them up when they're done? I've failed somewhere along the way as a parent.....I know it.
Just one of those days I guess. I could slave all day and get this house to a point where I'm happy with it and 5 minutes later it would be torn up shredded again. Have I mentioned my carpet by the way? It is filthy and has stains on it from dripping children and a cat that has a tendency to put his paw in cups and knock them over. I need to rent one of those carpet scrubbers from the grocery store. I've heard they do wonders.
GRRRRRRR.
