Kristi finished my mom's socks. She rules. That means that I could start the cotton socks for my aunt, or I could finish the Clapotis scarf instead and make the socks for myself later. I think I will do the latter. Shame on me, eh? I'm making good progress on the scarf, though, and it seems a shame to waste it.

I recently ordered myself a Timbuk2 large graphic tote to use as a new knitting bag. After seeing Jeni's Timbuk2 bag on Sunday (which I thought was a medium, but I think might be a totally different bag) I was afraid it would be huge. Oddly, it's smaller than hers.

I took the opportunity afforded by Niels being preschool to head down to Commuknity today and get some help from Nathania on sewing in set-in sleeves. She gracious sat down with me in their "living room" (I love their space, have I said that before?) and walked me through it. She was really helpful and the bunting now has sleeves. See?

I finally obtained a zipper, got my mom to zig-zag the top of it so I could cut it, and have it pinned into the bunting. I'm just not sure that I like how it looks.

I decided to use my Art Yarns silk (in color 105) to make a silk scarf for my grandmother. I decided to use the Cozy lace pattern and just do it thinner. ( I think it looks good so far! )

I started an Umbilical Hat from Stitch n Bitch on Friday on the way to our camping trip. I finished it today at Stitch n Bitch. Seems appropriate.

I finished the the top down Crayon sweater for my friend's son. It looks very wide to me. I need to wash it and see if that changes the fit at all. I think it will be wearable, it just might be a tad on the wide side.
