new knitting bag(s?)

I recently ordered myself a Timbuk2 large graphic tote to use as a new knitting bag. After seeing Jeni's Timbuk2 bag on Sunday (which I thought was a medium, but I think might be a totally different bag) I was afraid it would be huge. Oddly, it's smaller than hers.

Here it is with my (enormous) Lands' End diaper backpack and my old knitting bag (which was also a diaper bag in its previous life).

It comfortably holds my current project and my notions bag, as well as a few printed patterns, which you can't see.

I'm not sure it's actually big enough. It works for a small project or two, but I'm actually considering ordering an extra large one too, while Sierra Trading Post has them. The price is good, after all! Both of these together would be about the price I was going to spend on one Jordana Paige messanger bag for my birthday. Of course, I could stick with my plan of waiting to see what prints Jordana comes out with and get a messanger bag for my next birthday (or Mother's Day, or other gift giving event).

Tough decisions, eh?

While I'm posting pictures, current project pictures:

The current state of the doggie raglan (without the doggie part).
It's going pretty well!
If I'm not careful I'll have to do the intarsia soon.

My aunt's Clapotis-scarf. I think I'm going to stop increasing soon and make it much more scarf sized.
I don't think she's likely to wear a wrap and, quite frankly, I think I'm much more likely to finish by Christmas this way!
