Lately my studies have moved from music (at least, in my spare time) to matriarchy, the history of matriarchy, and matriarchy in the animal kingdom. Pretty interesting stuff. I've got everything lined up for my business. A few people even paid early, which I'm very very happy about. Hopefully next week will go smoothly. The ladies at the music store were pretty bitchy though. I just got back from picking up my handy dandy z-pack and other fun perscriptions. The doctor told me I may have to have another surgery on my nose :( The side that had the fucked up splint has grown a bunch of extra skin, and the side that didn't fuck up has grown some extra skin too. I got the job today at brook mays!!! so back to being a piano teacher again. maybe it's not as "prestigious" as being a female engineer, but at least i wont have to put up with as much sexist garbage everyday. because of my dad i am always going to think in the back of my mind that teaching piano isn't a real job, but it makes me happy. wtf is ( Read more... )

Today the most insane thing ever happened. The guy that sold me my piano called me and said they were looking for a "young enthusiastic piano teacher" to head the brook mays music department. my hours would be insane (5pm-8pm mon-fri, 8am-1pm saturday) and he said i could be making more than double what i make here at my dad's office working 40 ( Read more... )
