Of course the call this morning was what I thought it was - landlady passed away. I spoke to her son for a bit and he said they are thinking of selling the house but that it would probably take a few months. He also offered me a possible alternative, which made me think that they will be selling the house.

Got an email tonight from the landlady's daughter to call the landlady's brother at earliest convenience. I thought this must be about the landlady's passing away and so I thought to google it which I did.

Got my shot today, that wasn't the weird thing. Actually the process was remarkably efficient - not too many people, logical steps, and the injection was done in a jiffy.

So glad I'm getting my first covid vaccine shot tomorrow. Apparently it's the Moderna vaccine. First step to normalcy hopefully. I'm always glad when I hear people got vaccinated (colleagues, and on FB).

It'll take a few weeks and a second shot and a few more weeks to build immunity... but within 2-3 months from now I should be all set, at least ( Read more... )

It appears that the landlady downstairs isn't doing too well. I've lived in this place since 2007, and then already she was in her 70s I think. Now, 14 years later, she's at least 88 years old I believe. Never had any close friendship with her or anything but I would always make small talk when I saw her and she always made clear she was happy to ( Read more... )

I'm considering moving out of NJ to the West. Denver is what I have in mind right now for a number of reasons.

Since I've started working for the company I work for now in the middle of 2018, I've worked from home as a remote employee. That is mostly ok but I do sometimes miss working in an office and face-to-face with people.
