Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When and where does this game take place?
A. The game is set in present time and it takes place mainly in the rental apartments building, The Archive, located at 666 Greenwich Street, West Village, New York City.

Q. Does my character's journal name have to be something specific?
A. Nope! It can be something that pertains to them or their name. It doesn't matter as long as there isn't an over usage of underscores and numbers. Same goes for the AIM screenname, except that when signing up, please use your character's first and last name, so that they show in the buddylist.

Q. Are the Supernaturals known to the public?
A. No. Please use your own discretion about whether or not the humans know about your character's race. Currently, the vampire community as a whole is still hesitant about going public, but they might in the future.

Q. How old can I make my vampire/werewolf?
A. For the sake of having some balance when it comes to power, there will be no vampires or werewolves over the age of 1000.

Q. Can my character discover the things in the sub basement?
A. Only with express modly permission. Should you like to do something in the sub basement, form a coherent plot with a reason, reaction, and consequence that is REALISTIC to the situation, and contact the mods to discuss the idea further.

Q. Can I write a staff member?
A. Absolutely! There are several positions within The Archive available. Maids, doormen, drivers, maintenance, security personnel. You can also apply as an owner of one of businesses listed here. Don't hesitate to ask if you had any questions!

Q. What happens when a human/werewolf ingests vampire blood?
A. If they're injured, their wounds will be healed. Depending on how much blood is ingested will determine how quickly they heal. If they're not injured when the blood is ingested, then the blood has mind altering effects. It's like a mixture of taking ecstasy and LSD - very euphoric feeling with a few hallucinations. Think along the lines of V in True Blood.

Q. Does alcohol/drugs have an effect on vampires/werewolves?
A. It depends. For vampires, there will need to be blood mixed in with the alcohol and the alcohol needs to be quite strong for it to make the vampire drunk. The same goes for drugs. There will need to be blood mixed in or the vampire will need to feed off of someone that has taken drugs for there to be an effect and once again, the drugs will need to be strong. For werewolves, the alcohol/drugs will need to be strong and they need to ingest/take quite a bit of it for there to be an effect due to their high metabolism/healing abilities.

The mods will be adding more questions and answers if/when they see fit.
