[He's momentarily surprised before Sora's hold is returned, just as tightly. He still...can't believe it. This moment, the events that have taken place over the past few days.]

I guess I got that from you.

[He hesitates for a moment before leaning closer to Sora's ear, pausing as he tries to find the words he wants to say. Words that make more sense, have more meaning than what's echoing through his thoughts, their shared heart.]

Next time something happens, don't try to take it on by yourself. I'd rather be in just as much trouble as you than happily oblivious.

[No one should be able to take you away from me but you.]

Isn't that what I should say to you?

[He tries to keep his breathing as steady as his voice, something almost miraculous considering the heaviness in his chest. He's not sure if he's just just feeling this deeply, or if he's just not used to being this whole quite yet.]

[And Sora's prone to missing things, but he doesn't miss what's implied by Roxas's words. He understands and only clings tighter, fingers gripping his jacket and lowering his face into Roxas's shoulder.]

[Never. He'd never want that.]

Riku took care of me. He did, too. I wasn't alone.

[And of course, the thought that had kept him going through it all was knowing that Sora was okay. No one could have changed that for him.]

[He takes note of how off Sora sounds, how shaky he seems, and something like this must have been hard. All he can do is hold him close, be as strong as he can be right now when all he really wants to do is cry more at how close this had been.]

[It'll all be okay as long as Sora is fine, too.]

I told you I'd come get you, right? So it's okay now.

It's over.

Yeah...

[Roxas's words manage to do the trick and Sora backs away with a wane smile. He looks tired also... satisfied. But the longer he's awake, the more he seems to come back to himself. The moment's past. And then a tentative tease.]

... What took you so long?

[Sora's smile, however diminished still gets a respone out of him, smile growing into a joyful grin, but of course-]

Hey, It took a lot less time than I thought it would. Give or take a few years.

[Idly, he wondered if either of them would have aged at all during that time.]

[Sora's jaw drops. Hold on a second, had that much time passed!?]

Wait... Did you say years!?

How long was I asleep!?

[Roxas struggles, but succeeds in keeping a straight face. Okay, this was too good to pass up.]

Five. You keep dropping time like flies, you know.

Oh, and Kairi insists that you meet your god-child first thing.

Five!?

And Kairi had a...!?

[He sits down on his ankles in shock, disbelieving. Ok. Hold on a second. He just might faint right here on the spot.]

She wanted to show you the wedding videos, too, but Riku hid them. Hates the tux he wore.

[He slumps even further. Aw man. Now he looks pretty heartbroken.]

[Okay, so maybe that was a little too far. Roxas squats down in front of him, placing a hand on his shoulder in a consolitory manner.]

Sora.

It's only been three days.

A-are you sure!?

[Sora looks up, desperately hopeful.]

You mean... I haven't been asleep for five years?

It was a joke, Sora. You took what I said the wrong way.

[A comforting squeeze, and Roxas' face is as openly honest as their heart.]

I thought I was going to be a lot longer than a few days, that's all.

Oh... I see.

[There's a pause as he scratches his cheek. He doesn't look relieved yet. Not quite yet.]

So ... no kids either?
