I know people were griping and complaining about the lack of... ethnic casting with The Last Airbender movie but after watching the trailers, I find that I just really don't care.  It looks pretty cool.  All action-y.  :)  And yes, there is going to be the Blue Spirit and Appa.  I've also heard that humor is toned down, so less potty humor and more ( Read more... )

Seriously, read up on Theda Bara.  There are photos on Wikipedia proving that she wore some pretty risque stuff for her movies.  Then the Hays Code went into effect in the 1930s and stopped that sort of movies until the creation of the movie rating system.

Avatar... should I see it?  Is it worth my hard earned money?  I have an aversion to movies that seem too popular (never did see Titanic as one of the reasons).  I hate hearing how a movie is hyped and then being disappointed when I see it.  I kind of felt that way with Up! 

Star Trek. Was. Awesome.

If you aren't a trekkie, you still need to see it.

Today, I recieved my Patlabor movies (1 and 2) in the mail.  After some debate, I decided that I would watch the first one.  And I'm glad I did.  I'm grinning like a loon still.  It had me biting my nails from suspense at the climax.  The story could still be relevant today even though the movie first showed in theaters 18 years and 2 days ago (the ( Read more... )

Transformers is an excellent action flick.  If you want to see man vs. machine or machine vs. machine, this is the movie for you.  The tie in to Sam Witwicky (the main character) was believable for the movie.  And I got a few good laughs from it.  Go see the movie if you are in the mood for an action flick.
