Holy carp! I actually wrote something and submitted it here. It's a 50 word microfiction-y type thinger about an assassin, appropriatly titled "The Idea Assassin". I wrote it over lunch, and am rather fond of it.

I broke down and bought another jacket. I don't know why I keep doing it - I have, like, 1762345 jackets already (okay, maybe 8 or 9). I just can't get enough! A nice jacket is an awful lot like crack cocaine.

More evidence that something is in the water: I just went to see 27 Dresses. And I liked it.

The horribly titled, 'Need' (aka the Diamonds & Toads knock-off) was NOT shortlisted for the CBC literary awards. I can't say I'm surprised since it isn't a, y'know, literary story, and I'm still mildly cheesed off that I was persuaded to slap down $20 to enter. LAME ( Read more... )

So I got a part-time job with these people starting in January sometime... woop! I might even earn enough cash to take me through the month now! I'm pretty stoked, but don't know what I'll do come the summer when its more than likely that I'll go out and be an archaeologist again.
