My super-shorty short bit of flash, clocking it at exactly 50 words, was just accpeted for Assassin's Creed, an anthology of assassin-related fiction forthcoming from Utility Fog Press. Not bad for something that I whipped up over my lunch break. :P

Does this mean I'm a real writer again, or am I now only somewhat not faking?

Holy carp! I actually wrote something and submitted it here. It's a 50 word microfiction-y type thinger about an assassin, appropriatly titled "The Idea Assassin". I wrote it over lunch, and am rather fond of it.

A Field Guide to Surreal Botany is going big and now has a trailer, plus a review in the upcoming issue of Science Magazine. Screaming Mi-mis aren't mentioned in either media, but I'm still a happy clam. :)

Colleen Mondor writes for such internetal institutions as Bookslut and Booklist, and has penned a very kind review of A Field Guide to Surreal Botany that includes my very own Screaming Mimis as a favourable example of the book's cheekiness. I am tickled pink and beyond delighted!

Planted my Lycopersicon esculentumoutside today. Am frightfully worried for their tender little stalks. Wind and frost could wreck havoc on my delicate little seedlings! What have I done!?!?
