step one: get a job. check.
So I got a part-time job with these people starting in January sometime... woop! I might even earn enough cash to take me through the month now! I'm pretty stoked, but don't know what I'll do come the summer when its more than likely that I'll go out and be an archaeologist again.
I submitted "Foundling" (the story posted here) to Steampunk Magazine but won't get a reply until after Christmas. However, their message wasn't an outright rejection so I'm cautiously optimistic. If it doesn't 'sell' (it's a free mag) then I can always submit it to somewhere that might give me monies instead.
Is it bad that I'm looking at antique jewellery on ebay when I'm next to broke? And is it wrong to kind of want one of these?
