My cat just found a spot on the wall that turned out to be a small moth. She was very excited and batted it off the wall and pushed it around a bit while it flopped on the floor. Then she nosed it a little and it vanished and she got very confused, looking around for it ( Read more... )

I'm safely ensconced in the Bay Area for the summer. jibb helped me load the car, check the car's fluid levels, and get snacks for the trip, and he put up with my moving stress, which manifested itself in being freaked out by loud noises and sudden movements and in being nearly in tears because the mini-litter boxes I bought were too big for the cat ( Read more... )

Massive fail.

Hi! I'm back in Seattle. Following an awesome weekend (Saturday was particularly busy), I took a 24-hour train ride on Amtrak's Coast Starlight service, which runs from L.A. to Seattle.
