I keep meaning to post, but I don't have reliable access from work anymore, and when I get home there's ALL THIS STUFF to do, so I  never get around to it. Bleah.

It's been a hectic week, so I haven't had much of a chance to update. Or knit. Bah.

We accidently did a lot of yardwork yesterday. I say 'accidently' because I'd only meant to do a small part of the yard (we have 2 front landscaped pieces that came with the house, with the obligatory boxwood shrubby things, and I was going to landscape one of them) so my early morning trip to the Home Depot consisted only of 5 bags of landscaping ( Read more... )

After I started knitting the cat barf sock for my neice, I took out the lovely handspun yarn that my SP sent to me and fondled it for a little bit. I think I MUST make some socks for myself with it, but I'm not sure there's enough to do it with. Maybe If I used both skeins and make the toes/heels/cuffs in contrasting colours. Was another fun and relaxing weekend, so I am not hating Mondays this morning. I finished my baby blanket for the Katrina Blanket Drive, a scarf out of $1 Target flag yarn, the T-tunic for Elizabeth (JUST fits!!), the first of the three neice/nephew sweaters I'm making for Christmas gifts and got the second one cast on, and wound a bazillion yarn ( Read more... )

So the laundry room in our beautiful new house just doesn't work for us. As a result, they are going to have to come in next week, rip out part of the existing opening to make it wider, and put in a new doorframe.
