And much knitting happiness was had by all! :)

Here are a few of the projects I've been working on lately, knitwise. I haven't been doing much other crafting, as knitting is quite portable and I've been in the car a lot lately.

I (finally!!!) finished for Elizabeth out of Lily Sugar & Cream. It was a bit of a pill because I wasn't following a pattern, and I'd forgotten how I did the little eyelet stitch between doing the back and the front (about a month had elapsed), so there was much frogging and cursing as I tried to figure out where I was knitting into the back of stitches, and YOing etc. Must learn to write down stuff like that when I'm doing it. But it's done now, yay!

The top, without my daughter in it. It's purposely made a little big, as I started it in the middle of the summer, and knew she wouldn't get to wear it much until next summer.

Baby ensemble that I've finished for by brother and sister-in-law who are expecting in October. The arms looked a little narrow for the body, so I may alter that pattern when I make some others for co-workers who are due also in October. January must have been a good month for "gettin' down" or something. It was very quick to knit... the booties are all one piece and then folded and sewn, and the jacket is knit all in one piece as well, so it went very fast. The other sets will both be in blue, as they are both for little boys... we didn't know the gender of my new newphew, though, until last week and I'd already knit a little green jacket.

Progress on a scarf that I'm knitting for my nephew in Houston, who is 9. The resulting fabric is a bit thick and stiff, as I am using a cheap acrylic yarn. Maybe will pick something different for the Slytherin scarf I am doing next.

We had our first meal in the new house last night, and Elizabeth had her first nap there. Tonight we hope to actually spend the night there, if it doesn't rain, and the bed and washer and dryer can be moved. It will be a bit uncomfortable for Michael, who will have to sleep on the lumpy futon. :( He said he will deal with it, though. :)

A grocery store by our new house is closing down, so 30-50% off everything. I plan to go down there after work and stock up on spices, dry and canned goods, and frozen veggies, if they have anything left. Now that I have a HUGE HONKIN' FRIDGE to put it all in. :D

And finally, my daughter, the budding witch.
