It's been a hectic week, so I haven't had much of a chance to update. Or knit. Bah.
Friday I was home sick with the flu. I think that's what it was at least. I had a fever of 101, I was dizzy, my throat really hurt, and I was achy all over. I ended up sleeping all day, except for an hour around lunch time. Then I got up at about 7. James was

Been awhile, so I thought I'd jot a couple of things down.
Elizabeth is doing pretty well with her potty training. The daycare is moving her back to the 3-year old room this week, since she has become comfortable telling them when she needs to go. And she is quite excited about panties, let me tell you. We were in the grocery store a few days ago,

I stayed up way too late last night playing World of Warcraft. RIGHT before I logged off, I had a purple drop in Searing Gorge that absolutely made my night. Yay for new purple mage-y robes!!! I took it as WoW karma for the extreme number of people that had been pestering me all night. I'm not the guild leader. I'm not a raid leader. I have put a

Elizabeth: Mama, I ate it all. Me: You ate all what, honey? E: All the mud. Me: . . . Me: Where did you get mud?! E: From my nose. Me: >.< Honey, you shouldn't eat nose mud. It's kind of gross

I don't remember anything exciting happening last night. I folded laundry and watched TV. Elizabeth ate chicken that wasn't in nugget form... that was exciting. She wouldn't eat the pasta, though, because it was shells and -white- cheese. I guess pasta has to have yellow dye #7 and red dye #5 to make her happy

Last night Elizabeth learned an important lesson. If you let go of your balloon, it will float away, and mommy can't rescue it for you. Her big blue eyes filled with tears, and her little lip quivered, as she whispered "Bye bye balloon." She watched it float into the night sky until it disappeared, and was silent until we got to the car. The she

Last night I went with cardamom_23 to Stitch & Bitch… we ate at Jason’s Deli and then popped into Michael’s for a moment so she could get some yarn to match the scarf I made for our co-worker Julie… she’s going to make a matching hat, which is cool. They had a great sale on fun fur, and something else… Moda Dea maybe. Something else I've sworn not to buy

It was hectic, and happy, and chaotic. I got a yarn ball winder and a book of romantic, sappy coupons all lovingly made by James. Elizabeth loves her Dora dollhouse and all her stickers. Everyone loved their handmade gifts. James loved his movies and his partially finished afghan (hee!) There was much food, family, friends, and lots of other f

So on Friday we got this email message saying that if my team got down below 20 defects, Santa would come and visit us this morning. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't a communal bottle of Bailey's for coffee and a box of Krispy Kremes. I don't even -like- donuts... at least not this sweet air that passes for donuts down here. If I -

It has always annoyed the royal piss out of me when people say 'That's a mute point.' twelveoaks can attest to this, from the amount of times I would come out of meetings at IBM grumbling about managers who used the phrase. This would usually, however, lead to amusing discussions of 'mondegreens' which aren't quite the same thing, but lumped into the same
