Rod Gander, former president of Marlboro College, passed away on Monday from heart failure.

I am always filled with such pride when I go to Marlboro Commencements. Marlboro has been one of my surrogate mothers. It really helped raise me and give a support network for me when I needed it most. Being there helped to heal many wounds and prepare me to deal with future ones. God Save the Queen! My beloved British Invasion broomball team won the tournament! Woot! I have never been on a championship team in all of my Marlboro years. I wasn't even there for the finals, which is a bummer. But I know I was an important part of getting us there. I played in three of the six games we played in order to win. How you make my body ache in so many interesting ways. But, at least I have loads of fun while doing it. Excellent games today. It took us a game to actually remember how to play.
