Dean of Students
Oh Marlboro College, you are in for a treat. Your new Dean of Students is totally awesome. And his partner is also such an excellent fellow! I had the distinct pleasure of meeting them both last night and spending a good deal of time with them at a welcoming gathering arranged by the local LGBT organization. It was such a delightful time. I was so happy to find how passionate Ken is, how funny, smart and ready to get into the thick of things he is. His knowledge and experience with student populations, with issues that concern campuses and educators more broadly and his excellent people skills all add up to a great Dean in my opinion. And Pride folks, he has an EXTENSIVE queer film collection of stuff that even I haven't seen that came from the New York Film Festival. Plus, he and his partner share a ton in common with my wife and I, so that is an added bonus since that means we are going to be pals. That doesn't really mean much for Marlboro. That just means my wife and I have two fabulous new friends. But it certainly isn't a bad thing for Marlboro, either ;)
