As part of the festival of my birthday, I had a sushi making party today. I had never rolled sushi before, so this was a very fun learning experience. Here was my last roll, which on top of looking cool, tasted excellent (smoked salmon, avocado and cucumber).

God Save the Queen! My beloved British Invasion broomball team won the tournament! Woot! I have never been on a championship team in all of my Marlboro years. I wasn't even there for the finals, which is a bummer. But I know I was an important part of getting us there. I played in three of the six games we played in order to win. How you make my body ache in so many interesting ways. But, at least I have loads of fun while doing it. Excellent games today. It took us a game to actually remember how to play. I admit it. I'm a total weather geek. I LOVE to read the extended forcasts on the National Weather Service page. I don't totally understand what everything means, as different forcasters use slightly different abbreviations than others. But there are some common ones.
