Not exactly midwinter, but good grief, it's cold! Temps didn't make it out of the 20s until this afternoon, and now we're plummeting back down to around 20 or so. We had a really good Health Fair at my home church today, with all sorts of health screenings, information on energy efficiency, conservation, gardening, organ donation, and activities for kids: face painting, kids' crafts from recycled materials (keychains, necklaces, rainsticks, kazoos, and birdhouses), & a moon bounce shaped like a Dalmatian ( Read more... )

Swimming party yesterday. . .then a trivia match. Made a shrimp dip for the first, brownies for the second. Won the trivia competition--each of us on the team got a $40 gift certificate for The Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant. Yummy ( Read more... )

I have a swimming party in the morning, then a barbecue at a friend's house tomorrow night, a party/barbecue after church Sunday, and a concert/cookout Sunday night.
