It's Been a While
But here I am! Last weekend, I drove to Nashville (just ahead of the 6" of snow & ice) for the Creation Offical Twilight Con! It was an awesome weekend--Peter Facinelli (*fans self*), Gil Birmingham, Mike Welch, Daniel Cudmore, Charlie Bewley, Bronson Pelletier and Kiowa Gordon.
I got my pic made with Peter & Gil, and Peter gave me the biggest hug! He is such a great guy--so down to earth & genuine. Got his, Gil's, Bronson's & Kiowa's autographs, went to a brunch with Mike, Charlie & Daniel, where each one came to our tables and spent time chatting with us. I scored a banner that the 3 of them signed--WOO HOO!
There was a dance Saturday night--I dressed up in my girl tux with a dark red shimmery scarf and rocked my socks off--so much fun! There was a man there who had brought his 12-year old daughter with him, and we walked in together. As I was leaving, he came up, grabbed me around the shoulders, and got one of my friends to take our picture together. He said he wanted to be like me when he grew up! :)
I came home Sunday afternoon, to find plenty of snow & ice here in Memphis; no problems driving--the worst part was getting my car out of the hotel parking lot!
Anyway, the tutoring gig is still going well, and this weekend is busy--trivia tomorrow night, my home church is having a "Free Store" Saturday morning, where needy families can come & get clothes/household goods, and then trivia Saturday night too. Super Bowl party Sunday--I'm going--don't ask me why, but it should be fun.
Mailed my overseas Valentines today--got to get the rest out of here this weekend.
