I am so happy the 8th grade class broke the rules and stood to cheer for the boy with Down syndrome and the girl in a helmet. They made some special kids feel very important today. But knowing there is acceptance in the world makes my sons struggle that much more obvious to me. Autism is secretive and dark and it doesn't put on benign public smile ( Read more... )

I swear if he wasn't four I would worry he was having fever dreams.

He said he was gonna throw up but " the beavers in my neck made it go down to my tummy again."

Uh huh.

When I gave him a hug and told him to lay back down he told me to let him go
"or you will crack me like an egg!"

O-kay.

Thomas is still bed ridden and unlike his siters he seems to have a good fever going. He desperatly wants out of bed though. Yesterday was the final installment of Sydney Li’s Birthday 2005. I swear birthdays last two weeks per child when you have to visit this relative and that relative and have the family party and the kids from school party.
