We are expecting a mega ice storm over the next two days. Just in time for Christmas! I've just been planning an alternative dinner in case my oven isn't available. I have a gas cooker, however the oven is controlled electronically.

My gift to my nephew, Stevie Ray, is a Kobo E-reader. It is not on his Wish list, which included game called Modern War, a bean bag chair, headphones and a pile of Lego.  However, he does love to read and this way he can carry books to read on the bus when he commutes to school each day. Been under the pillow most of the day. Woke up with lots to do- worky work, and perhaps send stuff of to peeps. Nothing doing. My brain was on puree in the blender. Was able to talk to one doctor - had written a fax but his office phone system FAIL. shakes fist

Roads were a nightmare. As I couldn't go to local big town for wrapping paper -parcel for UK needs to be sent Monday- stopped in small store in nearby village. Scored some lovely wrapping paper, and some marvelous red and gold bells for tree decorating- they are about the size of a walnut- cheap too.  Now all I need is to get my house back so I can ( Read more... )
