Well, Misfits is back! That's good. And I got lots of pumpkin soup from my neighbours. It has apples and bread in it, so I can't eat much at a time, but it's still nice. And the cat doesn't appear to have ear mites. That's also good.

Focus on the good things.

Yep. Just as I was beginning to feel a bit more like myself* again I come down with another bloody cold. *sniffle*

Did laundry. I was lucky, and the laundry room was free when I went down to check for free time slots. I was beginning to run out of clean clothes.

Made more calendula (marigold) ointment, because I'd run out.

Made some more low-carb crackers, since I had run out. This time with Swedish gingerbread spices.

I'm feeling really crap. No tangible symptoms of illness, except that I'm really tired and stiff and my brain doesn't work. Thursday I had to stay home from school, and didn't manage to do anything except lie on my bed reading (Jasper Fforde's Shades of Grey), which gave me a back-ache. My hesitant cold has overnight turned into a fully blown head cold. I've tried to get hold of bracke and nazgman to find out if I am still welcome to tag along, but haven't been able to reach either of them. I've left a message on bracke's mobile. I hope they get back to me before the bus leaves.

It irks me that it would be easier, quicker, and much, much cheaper for me to go visit quantumliquid and thedimholt in England than it would be for me to go and visit my brother and his family here in Sweden, especially now that they have moved further up north (but still only halfway up the country). At the beginning of summer, I bought a little fold-down table for my balcony, the kind you hang over the balcony rail. It's wooden and looks really nice, but the metal hooks that go over the rail are far too wide, which made the table hang crookedly.
