It's the 25th of May, but since I'll be staying in all day revising maths, there won't be much point in walking around with a towel. (If I were to venture outside, though, it might actually be a good idea to bring one, considering the look of impending weather.)

I could also go around with a sprig of lilac to commemorate the Glorious People's Republic of Treacle Mine Road, but instead I'll just make a GIP.

I'm mostly happy with the icon. Here are all three (or four) that I made:

The last icon is the least artistic one, but somehow the most disturbing. I worked the most on the middle one, but am not happy with the blood spatters. It looks like paint in one version and like, er, Photoshop in the other.

For some reason, every time (I've tried it twice before) I go out with my camera to find a nice sprig of lilac bloom and also a nice cobblestoned area (neither of which are very scant in this town), the wind picks up and it starts to rain. Last year I even got thunder and hail. So I never get enough source pictures before having to run for cover. Probably Blind Io being displeased at my anti-authoritarian (and atheist) streak.

In other news, yesterday was the annual Folk Music Day at Kulturen (the Cultural History Museum), but I only remembered that this morning. And I was completely free all day yesterday, too. *grumble*
