Some randomness: I think that I am indeed less attractive to mosquitoes now. I should have been eaten alive this morning on my back porch, but I don't have a nip. Booyah. Tommy's: Out 54 West a ways. Gigantic garden, gorgeous soil. Too bad it's so far off, or I'd be there all the time. Hopeful for major vegetable production. He also grows pitcher plants...

Bopped on over to Durham today to listen to margaretc  play the pipes on her lunch break. It was lovely! Then she and skippyclese escorted me over to Duke Gardens and hsajkghlqrnsjafajadhfls;jflsdjfalwrtgfj!~!!!!!!!!!!1 plants!!!!!!!!@!1

Today I'm going to pot me up some avocados, bitches.

Today I live in the jungle
and the pounding rain on broad green leaves is the drumming of my heart
and the catcalls of the birds are a call to arms
against all that is not truly living.

Guess who has sexy, sexy, sexy new sprouts on her sexy, sexy, sexy black bamboo plant?

That's right, this girl.

Granted, my black bamboo is wee and they don't start turning til the second year of growth... but one of the sprouts seemed to just appear at 2.5 feet tall, so I have hope for some truly pants-creaming displays in the near future.
