I think I've finally sewn something I love: gigantic paisley pants, recycled from an old bedsheet (the rest of which I used to make a big cloth bag to put my clothes in for moving). They're so floofy they look like a skirt, the pleats at the waist are 99% correct (I just did an drawstring for the ankles), and they're exactly the length I wanted. I ( Read more... )

Does anyone here know anything about felting with dryer lint? I read about a woman who did it once, so I have a whole bagful of lint saved up. And speaking of lint, OMG linen makes the most effing beautiful lint I HAVE EVER SEEN. Something must be able to be done with it, it's sooo fluffy and gorgeous and wonderful.
