How frightening! A crane has fallen in NYC, crushing buildings and causing injuries and death. It was only 2-3 blocks up from my NYC apartment. I've a feeling I know exactly which construction site it was where this accident took place. o.O

It started with a newspaper article about the unveiling of Saks Fifth Avenue's holiday window displays and annual Snowflake Light Show. And then it hit me. I miss NYC.

With my days in NYC numbered, I'm forcing myself to stop being lazy and start exploring the city again. I'm so glad the weather's been gorgeous; it certainly helps!

My friend J traveled in from NJ this morning to meet me on the ( Upper West Side. )

A day in which not a whole lot has gone right:

1. I was reamed out by mother's hair stylist for following the advice of "someone" who once told me to use clarifying shampoo, which according to the hair stylist is leaving my hair deathly dry. I later recalled that the "someone" was the very same hair stylist. Grrrr.
