The fleet shipped out today.
And now so must I. (If you see a segment on the news tonight about someone water-skiing behind a Naval carrier . . . ;P)
It's been a fabulous nine months, and while I could never live here permanently I'm glad I got to live here for this short duration. I remember my doubts before I took this assignment, how I didn't really like NYC and wasn't sure I'd ever feel safe or enjoy it. My opinion has done a complete 180 and I'm glad, because now I'll look forward to visiting in the future, which is handy as I'm sure I'll be back for business trips.
