Writing is kind of taking a back seat to other things this week.  I have some house guests coming in this weekend and also a Halloween party to prepare for, so I'm focusing more on the housekeeping/crafty stuff than the wordage.  It's probably good, actually -- there's no way I could concentrate on trying to write something for more than a minute ( Read more... )

When my mom was pregnant with me she worked on sewing a Christmas wall hanging project.  When I moved a few years ago she gave it to me, along with a note explaining how she was in the hospital a lot with me and had a lot of time to work on it, and all the nurses would come in and check on her progress and ask how the project was coming.  I hang it ( Read more... )
