This past weekend I hosted my family, which was equal parts nice and a little stressful.   It was nice because A) I like my family and B) I haven't seen them since Christmas.  It was stressful because A) I'm not used to being surrounded by five other people all the time and B) I'm not used to cooking, cleaning, and entertaining six people.  Still, ( Read more... )

Got home yesterday afternoon and was promptly regaled with stories and stories from my husband, who won't admit that he misses people but did say, several times, that he was very very glad I was back and that he got very bored when I was gone.  (I interpret that to mean that me missed me.)

As davisac1  noted, we've been doing awesome on our scavenger hunt challenges.  Thanks, everyone, for suggesting stuff because this is making the trip about 1000x EVEN MORE awesome, and it was already pretty awesome.

The Internet is back, Lucas graduated, the move went smoothly.  So there you are.  We still have boxen just *all over* the house, in basically every room and some closets.  It's...a little hectic.  A little unsettling.  I haven't slept much - getting used to weird noises, trying to conquer my over-active imagination, etc.  But last night was better ( Read more... )

Today engelhardtlm1  ran a one-shot of new Hunter for amberdulen  and I.  Keep in mind, I played a nerdy hacker girl and my sister played a Buffy wannabe cheerleader.  Things that happened in the game:

1) She got my father fired.

2) We talked on the phone a lot.

3) I threw up on a dragon.

4) We went to Le Milkshake enough times that it became plot pertinent.  (See #3 above)

Yesterday after church (loong, loooong time at church) engelhardtlm1  and I drove a couple of hours to have dinner with amberdulen  and scionofgrace , which was lots of fun.  We don't have a lot of friends our age up here (actually, we have one from church and we each have a small handful from work, and that's it) so it's been really nice to spends parts of the last two weekends ( Read more... )
