We watched "The King's Speech" this afternoon after lunch.  It was very good!  The actors were great, the plot was very engaging, and of course we love England and English things so it was nice to see a period of its history that we don't actually know that much about.  It was funny and touching at the same time.  If you haven't seen it and you can ( Read more... )

My mom came to visit for two days!  And we made a bustle skirt for me to wear down to Origins this year, and let me tell you, we did a bang-up job.  It was a short visit but nice to see her.  She and Dad just retired (Tuesday was their last day!) and it's like they're totally different people now -- in a good way.  It was definitely the right ( Read more... )
