Grumbling about family, specifically the family trust that my mother is executor of, yet again. In short, she's left it in seriously terrible shape. The average American adult driver puts 12,000 miles on their primary vehicle each year, or 1000 miles a month. I just reached 12,000 miles on my Kia yesterday and it took me 31 months to do so. This is including trips to Seattle, Los Vegas, and John Day. Apparently my driving average is about 400 miles a month, or under 5000 miles a year. Makes ( Read more... )

Still on the diet, though I have decided to fast three days a week instead of two on the understanding that I can f*ck up one of them and still maintain the minimum. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday... oh the stomach grumbles.

Okay, a long time issue with working the day shift in my department is that the shift starts at 5:00 am, and I am not allowed to leave the building until the end of my shift 10 hours later. Looking forward to spending time away from home and work. Still waiting to see if I will be able to meet Stan Lee at Fan Expo Canada, but at this point I'm starting to doubt it (still supposedly on an overflow list as they haven't refunded me the extra ticket cost yet).

Was looking in the mirror this morning and noticed that I have a lot of gray hair now. Not just a strand here or there, but noticeable large amounts. Thank you, O Mother Nature, for yet once more pointing out to me that I'm not getting any younger. *sigh*
