The answer: She freaks out about the lack of deadlines (what to do with her life?!) and thus spends inordinate periods of time designing and creating gingerbread cookies.

The photo does these no justice! The taste of these cookies was exactly what I was looking for... I had just made some crystallized ginger (yum!), and had a craving for some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with said ginger chips added to them.
