I have a pair of faux leather boots that look very shiny and new. I'd really like to distress them a bit so they appear worn and perhaps a bit dirty. Does anyone have some tips on how I could do this?

I took a few better pics of the corset today.  I still haven't added the additional boning it needs, so it still wrinkles a bit - it's on my list, though.  also, it's not laced as tight (nor as well/straight) as i'd like here - this is what i get for trying to do it myself.  :P

I hit up a few thrift stores yesterday, and one of the things I ended up buying was a quite large men's leather coat (pics: 1 2 3), and I bought this with the intention of tearing it apart and making it something else, thinking of either a corset and accessories, or some sort of a corset-coat.
